David Ferreira is Managing Director for Innovative Finance & Head of the Washington DC Office at the GAVI Alliance. Immediately prior to joining GAVI, David was the founding investment manager of Soul City Broad-Based Empowerment Company (www.scbbec.com), an investment company owned by a South African public health non-profit.
David began his career in South Africa as a human rights and labor lawyer and subsequently practiced with the New York firm Davis Polk & Wardwell (www.dpw.com) where he focused on capital markets financings.
