Deborah Phillips
Deborah Phillips, a communications officer at PATH, leads the social media and online advocacy strategy for www.defeatDD.org, which aims to provide resources to advocates working to raise awareness about diarrheal disease and its burden on low-resource countries. Deborah also manages technical writing and editing for PATH’s rotavirus vaccine development efforts.
Over the past several years, Deborah has directed her communications skills to develop materials toward public health advocacy, specifically in the area of immunization in developing countries. She is particularly interested in distilling technical material for a variety of audiences. Prior to joining PATH, Deborah managed public health communications for a PEPFAR-funded program at Columbia University and served as managing editor for the medical magazine of the University of Miami
