Myrdin Thompson has been a Louisville public school parent, volunteer & advocate since 2002. She was recognized in April 2011 by the White House as a "Champion of Change" (Parents Involved in Education) and was the 2010 Kentucky Delegate for Parenting magazine's Mom Congress, and currently serves as a mentor for the current class of delegates.  She is a monthly contributor to Parent Involvement Matters (about education policy and parent engagement) and also named a United Nations Foundation Shot@Life Champion and is an alumni advocate for KaBOOM! Recently she was named the "Social Mom of the Month" by SocialMoms Network and was also recognized as the "Mom of the Moment", Parenting Magazine, School Years (March 2010) and as a KaBOOM! Playmaker of the Month (June 2008). She is also the 15th District PTA Immediate Past President (2009-2011) and has a MA in Renaissance Drama from CSUF.
