Nigel Twose

Nigel Twose is currently Director of IFC’s newly created Development Impact Department where he oversees the creation of a unified results-measurement system. 

Mr. Twose joined the World Bank in 1997 as an Adviser in the Finance and Private Sector Development Vice Presidency. He has since held managerial positions in the Private Sector Development Group, including Senior Manager in charge of investment climate reform in the Africa Region, based in Johannesburg. This was a joint position of the Foreign Investment Advisory Service (FIAS) and PEP Africa, with a consolidated Bank Group team delivering advisory services to client governments across the continent.

Prior to joining the World Bank, Mr. Twose had a 21 year career with non-governmental organizations, including postings in West Africa and South Asia.
