I trust the school year has started off well for you, your students, and colleagues. As we begin a new school year, I want to encourage teachers to make their voices heard at an
important event coming up later this month as a part of NBC’s third annual Education Nation.
As a former teacher myself, I fully understand the frustration that teachers often feel when the debate about their profession goes on without them and I think NBC’s Teacher Town Hall will be a great opportunity to hear about some of the innovative solutions
coming straight from the classroom. It is also an opportunity for your voice to be heard on a National level.
In addition to tuning in, NBC wants your input on what should be covered at the Teacher Town Hall. Go to their
Facebook page and share your ideas about what’s working in your classrooms and what you’d like to hear from other teachers.
We’ll be tweeting from @gatesed at the Town Hall and will have some teacher voices here on Impatient Optimists to share their thoughts, as well.
Mark your calendars:
