We spend a lot of time in development working hard to fight disease and poverty, and every once in awhile it’s good to take a step back and notice whether or not our efforts are actually working.
Malaria is one of those efforts where we are seeing success. We are shrinking the areas in Africa where malaria kills people every day. Take a look at the infographic above (click on the photo to open it) from MACEPA (Malaria Control and Evaluation Partnership in Africa, part of the global health organization, PATH) that shows how increased malaria funding has saved nearly one million children. That’s a job well done, we have the momentum, and we can’t stop now.
