The KMC (Kangaroo Mother Care) Unit of Bwaila Hospital in Malawi. Newborns, particularly those with low birth weight, need to be kept warm, fed frequently, and bond with their mother. Kangaroo Mother Care makes this possible by promoting as much contact between mother and baby as possible, 24 hours a day. (Lilongwe, Malawi, 2010)
