Gabrielle Fitzgerald

Gabrielle Fitzgerald is the Director of Global Program Advocacy at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Prior to joining the foundation, Fitzgerald spent five years at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), focusing on HIV/AIDS and emergency programs. Previously, she served as the communications director for the U.S. Committee for Refugees and was a fellow with USAID/Zambia. Earlier in her career, Gabrielle was a speechwriter/ researcher for President Clinton at The White House and worked at the Department of Health and Human Services.

Fitzgerald holds a Master’s of Public Administration from The Maxwell School at Syracuse University, and a B.A. from American University in Washington DC.
