Leah Rush is on the Emergency Response team at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She has over five years of experience operating in humanitarian contexts globally, including conflict and disaster in Syria, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iraq, Niger and Mali. Prior to her humanitarian career, she played basketball professionally and worked as a consultant on various sport for development projects. She holds a B.A. in Communication from the University of Oklahoma, and a MSc in International Development and Anthropology from the University of Durham in the United Kingdom.
