Since the age of four, Adora Svitak has been exploring the power of written word: everything from championing literacy to empowerment for girls and women around the world. She has published three books and taught more than 500 classes around the world. In 2010, she delivered the widely viewed speech "What Adults Can Learn from Kids" at the TED conference. Directing a planning committee of youth, Adora has organized one of the largest youth TEDx events in the world (TEDxRedmond) for three years.

I wonder, looking forward to 2030, when I will be a 32-year-old woman: if I have a daughter, will she look at her "normal," and another girl's "normal," somewhere else in the world--and find them equal?
